During its initial development phase (testing and pre-launch), Albion BluePrint was a desktop application. However, the game developers consider any 3rd-party software risky. Therefore, just before launch, the project was quickly converted from a desktop application into a web-based version.
There are open-source 3rd-party tools available to fetch in-game prices, and we have successfully tested them in developer mode. While they can fetch prices, they require the software to be installed on the user’s computer to get real-time data. This creates a situation deemed risky by game developers and could jeopardize the user’s account.
Since automatic price fetching is not possible without using risky 3rd-party software, Albion BluePrint is designed for manual price entry. User account security is our top priority. Therefore, this manual-entry web version poses no risk and remains the safest calculator for users.

While it is possible to calculate using a standard calculator or Excel spreadsheets, ABP saves you time by analyzing all crafting formulas and scenarios that you might miss when calculating manually. The answer to this is relative. It depends on how well the user analyzes the market and the time spent in-game. We launched this tool after an average development process of 3-4 months. During a 1-week test phase, we generated over 100M silver through continuous crafting in-game. Albion BluePrint retrieves automatic prices from the open-source Albion Data Project. All data is fetched directly from this project’s API.
Technically, it works as follows: The Albion Data Project collects data using its own third-party client. This software is installed by users on their computers, and as they browse or trade in the in-game markets, the client runs in the background to automatically record and save this pricing data to a central database.
Through the API, Albion BluePrint accesses this stored data for its calculations. You do not need to download any third-party software. We utilize the data already provided by the community of active contributors.
Data may not be available for every item or raw material. This occurs when users running the data client have not recently viewed those specific items, meaning no data has been sent to the database. Therefore, seeing “No Data” for certain items is not a system error.
